And now the moment you’ve all been waiting for! We are thrilled to announce that…
Beck has won our Eco-Cutey Photo Contest!
Little nature-loving cutey Beck captured the hearts (and votes!) of Inhabitots readers in our Eco-Cutey Photo Contest, via the charming photo of him tending to his organic vegetable garden with his Klean Kanteen bottle in tow. There’s a lot more to “Farmer” Beck than his cute overalls and Klean Kanteen. 15 month-old Beck’s mom, Carol, was happy to give us all of the green details on our super Eco-Cutey, Beck!
What is Beck’s favorite outdoor activity?
Carol: Beck loves it when we take him in his jogging stroller to local parks. He’s very adventurous – exploring grass, rocks, and trees, and he loves to point out all of the dogs and birds. (Green pointer: “We’re the fifth family to own Beck’s jogging stroller! It has been passed around by all of our neighbors.”)
What is Beck’s favorite fruit or veggie to eat/grow?
Carol: We are growing English peas in our garden, and Beck loves eating them right off the vine and out of the pod. In fact, he was a pea pod for Halloween! He’s also a blueberry fanatic!
What is Beck’s favorite eco-friendly toy?
Carol: Beck’s favorite green toy is his imagination! No batteries, BPA free, and completely organic. But, if we are talking about literal toys, he loves his Plan Toys dancing alligator and drags it behind him all over the house. When he was a bit smaller and teething, his favorites included Sophie the Giraffe and the Under The Nile organic cotton veggies.
Which organic clothing collection does Beck like to wear?
Carol: Speesees! Beck’s closet is full of hand-me-downs from cousins and older friends, rummage sales, and second-hand store finds.
Please tell us more about our Eco-Cutey, Beck!
+ Beck is a sweet and gentle soul who charms everyone he meets with his outgoing and friendly nature – or maybe it’s his killer blue eyes.
+ Whenever we ask Beck if he wants to go outside, he pats his head and says, “hat, hat, hat.”
+ Beck loves music, and his smooth dance moves have been dubbed “The Beck.” Dancing “The Beck” involves him bouncing around on the ground with his arms up over his head. However, now that he’s 15-months old, and walking and running, “The Beck” seems to be happening a bit less these days, although we believe the head bopping is here to stay.
Congratulations to Beck and his parents, Carol and Chris!
