New for 2015 from Casa Kids, one of our favorite eco-design companies, comes the beautiful Cabin Bunk Bed. Compact, economical and lovely, this bunk is the perfect solution for siblings sharing a smaller bedroom or for the child who hosts frequent sleepovers. The fact that Casa Kids uses eco-friendly practices is just the cherry on top. Keep reading to learn more about this awesome new furniture.
About the Cabin Bunk
The Cabin Bunk Bed is specifically designed for lower ceilings and tight spaces — making it ideal for apartment living or a smaller home. Though compact, the bunk still offers plenty of space underneath for a trundle bed, and when stacked the bottom bunk becomes an enclosed “space” similar to a small cabin. There’s a suspended ladder, designed with notch cut-outs for easy gripping while also leaving the handy storage drawers unobstructed.
Transforms Into Single Beds
At some point, if two siblings move into their own separate bedrooms, you’re in luck with this bunk set, because it conveniently converts into two identical twin beds.
Eco-friendly Materials and Practices
Most Casa Kids furniture pieces are made with sustainable baltic birch plywood, a very strong material that is certified by both the FSC (Forest Steward Council) and CARB (California Air Resources Board). The bonding glue has no formaldehyde in it and all finishes are water-based, non-toxic, acrylic and have no VOC’s (volatile organic compounds). Casa Kids products also meet or exceed the U.S. mandatory and voluntary safety standards developed by the ASTM, plus the furniture is manufactured entirely in a woodshop in Brooklyn, allowing Casa Kids to easily control the design and manufacturing process from start to finish.
Easy to Assemble
The Cabin Bunk comes in natural or natural with white finishes, but if you’re interested in custom sizes or colors, please contact Casa Kids directly for options and pricing. The entire set ships flat packed and assembly is super simple with only one type of screw. Bonus: Casa Kids throws in a handy dandy little tool kit with the bunk bed, which includes a cordless drill.
