We first heard about LEGO CUUSOO member Alatariel's awesome submitted LEGO designs for a female scientist minifigure set including an Astronomer, Paleontologist, and Chemist over a year ago. Fast forward a year and LEGO turned the proposed concept of a female scientist minifig set into a reality due to support from thousands of individuals who voted that Alatariel's designs should be made into actual toys. Now, designer Alatariel has returned to the drawing board, and come back with even more awesome “science adventures” ideas for kids to enjoy.
Three New Science Minifigs
The new Alaterial concept is another set of three different LEGO scientists, but this time each of the figures has their own mini backstory to add to the fun. One of the nice things about this new set is that while one of the doctors has a ponytail and one has lipstick, overall, it’s not totally clear if all three scientists are female or male, meaning, kids can decide on their own who the characters are.
The archaeologist minifig comes with some awesome science discoveries including a cool fully preserved skeleton and gold coins.
The mini LEGO geologist spends his or her time hammering a neat rock formation, plus, as shown above comes with some inspired accessory items like a bag and what appears to be a compass or clock.
Kids will really adore the biologist LEGO minifig as this individual comes with a fierce Siberian tiger to study.
How to Vote
In order for a LEGO CUUSOO member submission to be turned into a real LEGO item, people have to vote for the design. As of today, the new science adventure set has just 2,502 of the 10,000 supporters needed in order for a design to be considered as a possible real-life set. That said, if you like this design and want to see it become a real LEGO set, go vote for it at the LEGO Ideas website!
