Happy Thanksgiving, Inhabitotters! We wish you all a wonderful, joyful celebration with family and friends. Read on to see what the Inhabitots team is most thankful for this year!
I’m most grateful for my children, and I feel so beyond blessed to be their mother that I can’t believe my luck. I’m thankful for the 4,089 times in a day that my son kisses me and says, “I lub you, mom,” — and for the fact that my daughter draws me stacks and stacks of gorgeous pictures every single day to express her love, which I can admire taped to walls at every turn of our house. I’m super thrilled that we adopted/rescued our awesome cat Zoe just this week, in time to celebrate the holidays with her. I’m thankful for my job and the opportunity it affords me to constantly evolve in the vital realms of green parenting and sustainable living, for soy chai tea lattes, inspiring music, great films, and for upcoming Sunday nights watching the new season of Downton Abbey with my husband!
Big year, big changes, big thanks. Much love and gratitude for my friends, cousins and, of course, my two cuddly cats who are so tolerant of my constant smothering and hugging. Can’t forget the little things I’m thankful for: my life-changing short hair, Amtrak, sweatshirts (because now I can wear all of mine and be called trendy), and Buffalo Exchange and Bib+Tuck (for supplying said sweatshirts).
As always, the human I’m most thankful for is my son Cedar who is clever, always kind and fun to be around. I’m also thankful for my small, yet awesome family and a slew of great friends many of whom really came through for me when I had to move on the fly this autumn (very thankful for folks I can count on). I’m super thankful to have a job I love that keeps my eco-ethics in check on a daily basis, my lovely gray PDX city and my working, though over-worked, coffee pot.
I am most thankful for the health and happiness of my family – my husband and son are the most important part of my life. I am also super thankful to have a job that I truly love that allows me to work with so many amazing people!
I am thankful for my adorable family, who make everything more fun. I am extremely thankful to have the energy and the knowledge to make healthy lifestyle choices for myself and my little ones. And I am thankful for a long Thanksgiving vacation with lots of family and friends present.
I’m thankful for all of the wonderful people in my life. Without their support, love, patience and kindness- life wouldn’t be nearly as good.

I am thankful for my cat [email protected], who arrived at the most difficult time in my life. She is the puuurrfect reminder that we shouldn’t take life so seriously, we should relax more and always be curious.
