Happy Thanksgiving! We wish you all a lovely, relaxing day spent in the great company of family and friends, dining on delicious food, and basking in love and laughter. We are thankful for you, our readers, who give us all the opportunity to do a job we love, working at Inhabitots! Read on to see what our writers and editors are especially grateful for this Thanksgiving.
I am thankful for my wonderful family, which will be increasing in size any day now! Living in New York City and experiencing Hurricane Sandy last month was also a reminder of how fortunate we are to have the resources and support system we have – I am eternally grateful for that. Thank you to New York City for being such an amazing place to live, and to New Yorkers for being such a supportive and vibrant community. You all deserve a fabulously warm and festive Thanksgiving this year!
I am thankful for my 3-month-old son Luca who never fails to make me smile.
I get more grateful with every passing year as I realize more and more that even the most basic factors in my life truly are precious gifts. I am most thankful for my family, and for my daughter and son who constantly show me the meaning of unconditional love and whose zest for life is gloriously infectious. Additionally, I feel so blessed to have grown-up to be what I always wanted to be: a writer. And I can’t fail to mention my gratitude for our espresso machine, because without it I’d be asleep right now.
I’m most thankful for my wonderful son Cedar who teaches me new things all the time and is so much fun to hang out with – plus he always lets me have a turn playing video games. I’m very thankful to have a job I love that allows me to work with so many excellent writers and brilliant green-minded individuals. I’m also always thankful for my family, pals, the fact that I get to live in a perfect rainy gray city and of course coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.
I am thankful for my supportive close-knit family, (photo taken circa 1989 with my older siblings!), my boyfriend and good friends who are definitely for keeps, and my two troublemaking cuddly cats. I’m super grateful to work at Inhabitat with its wicked smart team of editors and writers. I also have to give thanks to the simple things: Google calendar, crowd-funding sites, WhatsApp, chunky knit sweaters, ethical companies and brunch.
We’re thankful for life and love and family, friends and fun. But in light of recent events we are most thankful for the ability to help others during this time of need in NYC.
I’m thankful for all of the amazing people in my life who help me make each day beautiful. I feel extremely blessed to have met and worked with so many wonderful, inspiring people this year. I am especially thankful for my children who have taught me so much and continue to do so. And I am forever grateful to have the opportunity to work from home so I can watch them grow.
I am thankful for my children, husband, family, dog, and friends who have supported me during some recent health struggles. My children especially have taught me the value of living in the moment, the restorative power of play, and unconditional love! I am also grateful for the opportunity to share recipes and eco-friendly tips and insights with our amazing community of Inhabitots readers. Healthy and happy Thanksgiving to all!
I am grateful for my beautiful family! The photo is of me and my son Eben on our fall family trip to Montana, we had just finished a long day of hiking together.
