Philanthropic-minded T-shirt company Life is Good makes easily identifiable clothing for men, women, and kids. The positive messages, bold colors, and cheery graphics on their collection of tees make us instantly think of summer, vacation, and simply having a good time. The company has a new kids line out featuring their signature combo of original artwork and empowering words, and, to celebrate, they just announced their first nationwide, kid-powered art contest. All your little artists have to do is draw what makes their life good, whether it be the family dog, going on vacation, playing with friends, or anything else they can imagine. Parents can scan or snap a pic of their child’s good vibe-sharing masterpiece, share the creation on Instagram using #Lifeisgoodbecause, or submit using an entry form on the website. The prizes, which include a $2,000 college scholarship, a My Gym membership, and oodles of art supplies — in addition to having their tee printed and sold through Life is Good, are awesome as is, and we really love that Life is Good will donate $1 to kids in need for every entry received. Seriously amazing, right? If you’ve got a doodler at home, put him or her to work for a good cause. I’m pretty sure my drawing-obsessed daughter could drum up hundreds of dollars in donations all by herself so imagine how much we could “raise” together simply by supporting our kids in what is naturally a favorite creative activity. The contest is open for kids ages 3-12 until April 26th, so get those crayons, pencils, and markers out and encourage your kiddos to “picture the positive!”
