Glass is a super safe material for dishes that’s free from harmful chemicals like BPA. Plus, glass dishware has the added bonus of not imparting flavors into anything you eat or drink. However, if you’re like many parents, the thought of using glass with kids in the house likely makes you cringe.  Sure glass is safe, but it’s also very breakable. Thankfully, Lifefactory has a new line of user-friendly, kid-friendly glassware that makes eating and drinking from glass a sane endeavor with little ones. The new collection consists of drinking “wine” glasses and food storage containers that are whimsical and elegant but far less likely to break.  They’re so durable, you can use them daily and even take them on a picnic because the medical-grade silicone sleeves wrapped around the glass provide protection and grip. You may think silicone doesn’t look THAT protective for glass, but from personal experience, I can honestly say it is. I’ve had a Lifefactory water bottle for years. I take it out hiking and even jogging and it has been dropped more than a few times, and it’s in perfect shape. Keep reading to learn more about this new collection.

The entire glassware line is BPA/BPS-free and phthalate-free. The drinking glasses have some added stability via a pedestal base, so your kid is less likely to knock his glass over.  The tempered glass food storage containers and sleeves are oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe, so all the food storage containers double as bakeware and feature lids with button tabs to secure the lids during transport. You can toss all the glasses and containers right into the dishwasher without even removing the sleeve. All drinking glasses and the silicone sleeves are made and assembled in the USA. All components of the storage containers are also made in North America, minus the tempered soda lime glass, which is made in Mexico. The drinking glasses come in 2 sizes: large and small, while the food storage comes in a one cup, two cup or four cup sizes. The collection comes in a beautiful array of colors that can be mixed or matched to add a dash of design to your table.
