Shiver me timbers! Behold this beauty, docking at the height of summer: a handcrafted rocking boat built on the coast of Maine by a former fisherman. Let the horses run wild and let your tots climb aboard this vessel instead, which features lap joint construction just like the full-sized dories used for centuries in Maine’s coastal waters.
Designed for children ages 1-3, and built to hold up to 50 pounds, each rocking boat is comprised of hard and soft woods salvaged from local Maine lumberyards and brought to life in a solar heated workshop. Three color combinations are available: blue and white, red and white, and green and white — and every dory is signed, dated and numbered by the artist. Add your little sailor’s name to the left side of the bow for a personal touch.
