We know vaccines are a hot button issue, but regardless of whether you are pro-vaccine, concerned, or in favor of an alternative schedule, we’re pretty sure most consumers would want their vaccines free and clear of the carcinogenic pesticide Glyphosate, found in Monsanto’s weedkiller Roundup. Yet according to a lab report received by Moms Across America, vaccines including DTap, Flu, Hep B, Pneumonoccal, and MMR II all contained varying levels of glyphosate. In particular the MMR vaccine had levels of glyphosate 25 times higher than the other vaccines. Glyphosate is known to be an endocrine disrupting chemical that has also been labeled a neurotoxin and is suspected to cause liver and kidney damage. It is also considered a “probable carcinogen” by the WHO, and California declared Roundup would be labeled as “cancer causing.”
Obviously, it’s definitely not something that should be injected into kids or adults, especially since we are already likely getting plenty of toxic exposure by just living in today’s pesticide laden environment. Since glyphosate is not purposely or intentionally added to any vaccines, the question is, how did it get there? Glyphosate is an herbicide developed by Monsanto that is increasingly widely used in commercially grown corn, soy, wheat and other grains, both as a desiccant at harvest time (used to dry out the crop quickly), and sprayed on Roundup-ready GMO crops to destroy competing plants in the growth stage. Because it is increasingly prevalent on commercially grown, non-organic corn, soy and wheat, it has found its way into our rainwater, groundwater, breakfast cereals, breastmilk, and the bodies of commercial livestock such as pigs, who are typically fed GMO corn and soy grown with glyphosate. Vaccines cultures are often developed on gelatin from pig cartilage, and this cartilage comes from pigs fed a diet high in glyphosate-rich GMO corn. So that is the likely entrance point of glyphosate into vaccines.
Although Moms Across America used an independent lab for testing the vaccines, the organization is asking for the FDA and CDC to make it a priority to test vaccines for glyphosate themselves, recall those that are contaminated, and take action to prevent this chemical from being in future vaccines.
