Once you arrive at the front door of Moomah in New York City, you realize that this special spot is much more than a simple cafe to meet at for a play date. Moomah is a  place where children can connect with each other, nourish their bodies with whole foods, discover new things and create something beautiful. Whether you only have time for a quick break at cafe’s library or plan to stay for the entire afternoon creating art or taking yoga. This unique oasis always has something special that you can do with your child.

At Moomah your children can connect with other children through an art studio playdate or birthday, or they can discover new adventures through the shop’s art and nature classes, which take your child on a journey through music, movement, learning, laughter, animals and much more including Gloga,  Moomah’s signature glow in the dark yoga class. Or you and your child can collaborate on a piece of art in one of Moomah’s monthly Do It Together Projects. Each month Moomah organizes everything that you need to create a treasured keepsake together.

We also love their Funky Forest area, a state of the art, wild and living ecosystem designed by artists Theodor Watson and Emily Gobeille. In this place space children can work individually or as a group to see how their actions affect the environment. Kids will see creatures appear and disappear depending on the health of the forest and see them go through a metamorphosis as the seasons change.

When you’re hungry the Moomah Cafe serves up local, organic, natural, wholesome and sustainable options for any palette. Parents can grab a coffee, tea or smoothie and children will delight in a menu full of items such as Yummus, a Froggy Dipper or a Pizza Bagel.
