Who gives a hoot? We do! And from the looks of it, so does Night Owl Paper Goods, which recently segued from sustainable stationery to bring us a flock of Owl Plushies that are, quite literally, flying off the shelves. Made by artist Lori Nichols using thrift-store sweaters, each one-of-a-kind owl comes with a pair of mournful acorn eyes that have been embellished with repurposed book pages and wooden pieces from the stationer’s scrap pile. If you missed out on adopting an owl of your own, don’t get in a flap: Nichols does custom orders, as well, and is more than happy to use heirloom sweaters that have special meaning to you.
