Having kids means more than stocking up on baby necessities (as well as buying some not-so-essential items): often it feels like our homes are quickly taken over by less-than-hip kid accoutrements. Most of us, during our child-free days, did not imagine a kitchen playset parked in the middle of our living room. Now with a new dollhouse/coffee table from Qubis Haus, family living space can still be modern, stylish, and playful. Amy Whitworth’s award-winning design transforms from a functional coffee table into a dollhouse simply by adding sliding panels made out of wood and plexiglass.

Made in the United Kingdom from solid birch plywood, Qubis Haus even incorporates creativity: the dollhouse wall dividers can be rearranged, so your budding interior designer can create different rooms. While this hybrid coffee table/dollhouse doesn’t come cheap, we think the value of being able to combine functional family living, kid playspace, and creativity is priceless!

And since every dollhouse needs furniture, there are three sets of magnetic furniture available from Qubis Haus, made in Wales from locally grown, sustainable oak. The toy furniture is actually made from building clocks that click together with magnets. We love that each set (featuring the basics like a bed and chairs) also includes fabric accessories like a pouf or sofa throw as well as spare blocks for your child to create their own furniture.

The table measures 980mm (L) x 400mm (W) x 423mm (H) .
