Since we last featured Lamp Revival, the studio’s Rockland, Maine-based designer Maurice Klapfish has continued to transform salvaged materials into unique light sculptures. His latest works repurpose heavy scrap metal discards—much of which has been reclaimed from over 20 pounds of landfill—into steampunk-inspired lighting art. Klapfish also works with upcycling discarded sports equipment into novel lighting, such as his recycled sports lamp made with a Xenith X2 football helmet tilt mounted on a deconstructed and flattened Wilson NFL football.
