- ICFF International Contemporary Furniture Fair 2014It's that time again, design fans - today <a href="http://inhabitat.com">Inhabitat</a> is reporting live from the Javits Center in New York to bring you the best green designs from America's premier design exhibition, the <a href="http://www.icff.com/general-information/exhibitor-list">International Contemporary Furniture Fair</a>! <a href="http://inhabitat.com/icff/">ICFF</a> is the keystone event of <a href="http://inhabitat.com/new-york-design-week/">New York Design Week</a>, and we'll be sorting through over 500 exhibitors from 30 countries to bring you the best green designs from this year's show. - Green Towers<a href="http://www.greentowersusa.com/">Green Towers</a> unveiled their self-cleaning fish tank at the show. The herbs that grow on the tabletop act as a biofilter for the fish that live below.2
- FlowerboxWe've seen many vertical gardens in our day, but <a href="http://flowerboxnature.com/">Flowerbox</a> showed us something different with their preserved green walls. The moss and plants that adorn make up these artistic pieces last for 5 years and need no water or light.3
- Disaster Relief Housing U of Cinn<a href="http://www.uc.edu/">University of Cincinnati</a> students designed and built this pavilion for use in post-disaster situations. The prototype cost $2,600 and was erected on the showfloor in a little over 3 hours.4
- TobyHouse Beach Ball LightsWe've featured <a href="http://www.tobyhouse.co.uk/">TOBYHouse</a>'s <a href="http://inhabitat.com/toby-sanders-lights-up-milan-with-beach-ball-lamps/">resin beach ball lamps</a> in the past - and the designer just unveiled a new inflatable version that will be available in stores! The colorful clustered lights are made from inflatable beach balls and integrated LED lights.5
- MacMaster FSC Certified Wood Lights<a href="http://macmasterfurniture.com/">MacMaster</a>'s FSC-certified wood lamps resemble exotic flora and luminous pods. The lamps are made entirely in-house in MacMaster's UK studio, and they can be stacked to reduce their shipping footprint.6
- Naomi Paul Knit LampsUK-based designer <a href="http://naomipaul.co.uk/">Naomi Paul</a> creates gorgeous pendant lamps by crocheting flowing textiles around wire hoops. The lamps can be collapsed flat for a light shipping footprint, and they're fitted with energy-efficient CFL bulbs.7
- Raw Studio Flat Pack Pod Bed<a href="http://rawstudio.co.uk/">Raw Studio</a>'s <em>incredibly</em> comfy hanging <a href="http://rawstudio.co.uk/products/hive/">Hive seat</a> is about as close as you can get to a human-sized nest. The pod-like retreat folds up so that it can be easily shipped in a flat package.8
- Raw Studio Moon Lamp<a href="http://rawstudio.co.uk/">Raw Studio</a> also showcased a shimmering circular LED light that looks just like the moon! The craters in the middle are made from whisps of pulped paper.9
- Raw Studio LED Antler LampNature-ravaging hunting trophies are so passé - <a href="http://rawstudio.co.uk/">Raw Studio</a> offers an electrifying alternative with their new LED light. which resembles a plaque with branching antlers.10
- Volk X Coral Tusk Embroidered CredenzaBrooklyn-based <a href="http://www.volkfurniture.com/">Volk</a> teamed up with <a href="http://www.coralandtusk.com/">Coral Tusk</a> to create a new line of handmade furniture embellished with beautiful embroidery. The collection includes a credenza, a stool, and a dresser with embroidery-lined drawers.11
- Liqui Design Bamboo Pendant Lamp<a href="http://www.liquidesign.co.uk/">Liqui Design</a> kicked off their first ICFF appearance with a bang. Many of their products feature environmentally friendly materials and production methods, although we particularly fond of this pendant light made from pulped and compressed bamboo.12
- Molo Bench Wall<a href="http://molodesign.com">molo design</a> is experimenting with something new - these modular "bench wall" prototypes are six feet tall and ten feet long and can be used both indoors and outdoors. Amazingly sturdy with comfortable felt seats, they are die cut with <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/recycled-cardboard/">recycled cardboard</a> and have embedded magnets that allow the ends to attach to one another. So innovative, acoustically impressive, and green to boot.13
- Faux Bois Lamps by Lights Up<a href="http://www.lightsup.info">Lights Up</a> has added a brand new hanging lamp to their stellar lighting collection. The team used to print on silk, but now they're using a more environmentally friendly <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/recycled-plastic-bottles/">PET fabric made from recycled plastic bottles</a>. The Faux Bois lamps are printed with water-based designs that mimic wood grain.14
- Felt Clock by Sebastian HerknerHow cool is this felt clock by <a href="http://www.sebastianherkner.com">Sebastian Herkner</a>? On display over at the <a href="http://www.leffamsterdam.com">Leff Amsterdam booth</a> here at <a href="http://inhabitat.com/icff/">ICFF</a> and called Felt II (the original Felt lamp is larger), it is made with recycled plastic bottles and a small bamboo backing that describes its numerous green properties. Completely functional, the clock comes with a Japanese mechanism which ensures this beauty will keep on ticking for a long time.15
- Rad Furniture Henry CNC StoolThere is a lot that is <a href="http://www.radfurniture.com">RAD by this NYC design studio</a>, but we especially loved their new <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/cnc/">CNC-cut</a> flatpack stool. An experimental prototype that can be reconfigured for different clients as the need arises, Henry is shipped flat and easily assembled on site.16
- Circlet Chandelier by Grain Design<a href="http://www.graindesign.com">Grain Design</a> from Bainbridge Island in Washington State is exhibiting an exciting new interior collection called Circlet. Although we loved their terra-cotta pots, and <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/fair-trade/">fair trade</a> textiles from Guatemala, we were especially enamored with their lighting designs - check out this dazzling chandelier made with hand-blown glass and <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/fsc-certified-wood/">FSC-certified</a> Ash wood.17
- Wyzer Clock by LEFF Amsterdam<a href="http://leffamsterdam.com/?lang=us">Leff Amsterdam</a> curates all kinds of cool clocks, but this one was definitely a standout. Made with <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/recycled-plastic/">recycled plastic</a>, the Wyzer Wall Clock has a design that keeps evolving as the arms keep time. This clock is the very epitome of minimalism and we love it.18

- Winfield by Luke Lamp CoThis curious lamp is named after the street on which Luke from <a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/LukeLampCo">LukeLampCo</a>. found this sweet piece of barn wood. He then transformed the scrap piece into a sturdy, aesthetically pleasing desk lamp with a special <a href="http://www.marconilighting.com/home">Marconi light bulb</a>.20
- Rosewood Coffee Table by Wiley JamesDesigners are establishing a wonderful new trend by turning <a href="http://inhabitat.com/wood-restart-turns-naturally-fallen-trees-into-beautiful-modern-furnishings/">trees felled in natural disasters</a> or other non-commercial reasons into gorgeous one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture. <a href="https://www.etsy.com/people/PulpandOre">Wiley James</a> displayed their custom Rosewood Coffee Table on minimalist steel legs and we simply fell in love. Similar to Walnut, the wood's natural beauty speaks for itself and would make an enviable addition to any urban or rural home.21
- Reclaimed Pallet Tables<a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/Streetwood">Streetwood Inc</a>. is doing exactly what their studio's name suggests - finding wood on the streets of New York and turning it into custom furniture that everyone will love. This trio of tables is made with <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/recycled-shipping-pallets/">recycled shipping pallets</a> matched with a bright red steel base. We love the combination of the multicolored wood and the shock of the bright color.22
- Manila Rope Pendants by Luke Lamp CoLuke from <a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/LukeLampCo">LukeLampCo</a> got his start in design by tinkering around with these lovely Manila Rope Pendants and selling them on Etsy. Made with several feet of twine intertwined with electrical wiring and finished off with atmospheric <a href="http://www.marconilighting.com/home">Marconi filament bulbs</a>, the hanging lights add such a great homey feel to any room, though they come in more elegant materials as well for a less rustic vibe.23
- Center Pendant Module by Luke Lamp Co<a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/LukeLampCo">LukeLampCo</a> was under some pressure to make a lamp that uses LED lighting, but Luke wasn't impressed with the aesthetics of LED. So one day he was playing around and discovered that putting an LED tube inside a nylon rope produces a sublime glow - this is how the Center Pendant Module Lamp was born and it is definitely among our favorites at <a href="http://inhabitat.com/icff/">ICFF</a>.24
- Blown Glass LED Lamp by 100xbtrA talented young firm from Los Angeles, <a href="http://100xbetter.com">100xbtr</a> has designed a beautiful new <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/led-lights/">LED lamp</a> with an unusually shaped hand blown glass shade. The lamp comes with a responsibly-sourced ash wood base and the new Phillips LED light bulb that justify the firm's name, which means 100 times better.25
