The eye-catching clock is set within a frame handmade from Baltic birch plywood. The 4-centimeter-wide plywood band was steam-bent into the desired shape and connected together using a single connection joint. The light-colored frame is thin to keep the user’s attention on the clock’s lush greenery, and strengthen the plants’ thick and full appearance.

The reindeer moss that fills the center of the clock is actually not a true moss, but lichen. Primarily found in areas of alpine tundra, the coral-like lichen is valued, particularly in terrariums, for its puffy appearance and performs best in well-drained environments. For a vivid color contrast with the lichens, two bright orange clock hands punctuate the center of the clock.
