A fantastic example of sustainable set design, the Noor Eesti Scenery summer theater in Estonia is constructed entirely out of light timber batons that are easy to assemble and weatherproof. Designed by Kadarik Tüür Arhitektid as a temporary structure, the 420 seat theater will be taken apart and reused for other purposes at the end of the summer or after 12 plays.

This wonderful outdoor theater incorporates the adjoining pond, trees, and park into its set design, taking advantage of the natural backdrop to enhance the drama. When the season begins to turn, all 280 square meters of the 420 seat theater will be taken down and put to some other hopefully equally special use.
