Quitting your job to live rent-free and travel the world sounds like a far-fetched dream, but that’s exactly what Joe of Hurried Year did. He converted a 2006 Dodge Sprinter into an off-grid mobile home where he now lives full-time and travels the United States. Equipped with a 1,000-watt solar array and a 780-amp-hour battery bank, Joe is able to power all his electronics, including his induction cooktop. The spacious and comfortable converted van is also outfitted with a DIY composting toilet and a 42-gallon freshwater tank. Watch the video below for a tour of Joe’s new home, or you can head over to his blog to learn more about the van and his adventures across the U.S.
