As denizens of the 21st Century, we’re so in-tune with technology that we don’t want just plain old computerized gadgets and time-saving machines anymore. Instead, we want relationships with our technologies. Whether we realize it or not, we want our objects to talk to us. And guess what? More often than not, they already do. Talk to Me, a new exhibit that just opened in New York City at the Museum of Modern Art, examines this complex relationship and the ongoing communication we have with the objects around us. Curated by the design department’s Senior Curator Paola Antonelli, Talk to Me explores the interactive design landscape through the display of nearly 200 objects. Hit the jump for a preview of the exhibit, which is on view through November 7.
