Designed by Slovenian entrepreneur Bostjan Zagar, Olaf was launched following a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2014. The Olaf scooters are available in two models: the more flexible and smaller Olaf Urban backpack, and the Olaf Business, a larger carry-on airline-approved suitcase that morphs into a kick scooter. Both Olaf models are manufactured in the European Union and are equipped with a patented pedal transformation folding system and a smart curving based steering system with a shock-absorbing carbon steel axis.

Olaf Urban’s removable two-pound backpack is ergonomically designed with hidden wheel cover pockets. However, users also have the option to swap the Olaf backpack for their own choice of bag. The wooden skateboard deck, made from locally sourced timber, sits above three large and narrow wheels with ABEC 7 bearings. When transformed into a kick scooter or trolley, the handlebar folds out and telescopes up to double its height. The Olaf Urban currently retails for €195 ($214), while the Olaf Business is priced at €225 ($247).
