News From the Future imagines iconic landmarks after a climate apocalypse

Artist and photographer Fabien Barrau has created imagery that depicts an apocalyptic future spurred by climate change.

Chicago's architecture is overgrown with plants, while Paris undergoes desertification.

The shocking art depicts scenes that could become a reality should humans not aggressively work to curb climate change.

“My motivation for this series was how to influence awareness of climate change and the urgency to act every day according to one's means and power,” Barrau told Inhabitat.
