The architects combined two apartments to create the duplex, which has large 10-foot ceilings on both floors. The curved staircase with a stainless steel banister and slender shelves is the centerpiece of the home, and adds a touch of sculptural sophistication to the contemporary design.

As far as the interior, a minimalist theme gives the home a clean feel that is still warm and livable. The living area on the upper level has a sliding wall that can be used to create an additional room for guests or office space. Future residents will also be able to enjoy the spacious chef’s kitchen, two bathrooms, and even a walk-in closet.

Currently on sale for almost $2 million, the two-bedroom, two-bathroom duplex’s winding staircase should be a big selling point, especially considering the scarcity of storage when it comes to NYC digs.
