The LEGO lover on your list may have to exercise a little patience this holiday, but it will be well worth the wait. The Danish toy company announced that it will be releasing its new Skyline Collection right after holidays at the beginning of January. The exciting new kits will let brick enthusiasts build iconic structures from cities like New York, Venice and Berlin. The NYC set will include some of the city’s most famous buildings, including One World Trade Center.
With the Skyline Collection, LEGO fans can snap together snippets of entire skylines, with multiple buildings in each kit. The New York kit includes the city’s most famous structures: the Empire State Building, the Art Deco Chrysler Building, the new One World Trade Center, the angular Flatiron Building and the iconic Statue of Liberty. Each building is to scale, and can be displayed separately, or with its mates to create a “skyline.”
Other kits include Venice, Italy, which will have the Rialto Bridge, St. Mark’s Basilica, St. Mark’s Campanile, St. Theodore and the Winged Lion of St. Mark, and the Bridge of Sighs. Berlin’s kit has the Reichstag, Victory Column, the Deutsche Bahn Tower, the Berlin TV Tower, and Brandenburg Gate. The Skyline Collection is set to launch on January 1, 2016.
