If you missed all of the kitty canoodling at last week's Cat Camp in NYC, here's another chance to get in some pets and purrs. A pop-up Cat Cafe is now open in Hoboken, NJ, and is inviting animal lovers to visit for free all weekend and meet adorable and adoptable feline friends while raising funds for the North Shore Animal League America (NSALA). The temporary cafe is a partnership with local cable company Optimum, which has pledged to make a generous donation to NSALA as part of the event. Read on to see how you can visit the cafe and help raise money for cats and dogs just by Facebooking, Tweeting and Instagramming about it.
General is one of the furry friends you’ll be able to meet at the Optimum Cat Cafe. He’s a New York Knicks fan, as evidenced by his orange fur and blue collar, and promises to be the perfect couch-companion during games.
Optimum’s latest TV spot shows how their WiFi hotspots can help you feed your cat video addiction with even faster speeds.
When you visit the cafe, be sure to snap some photos and share them on social media with hashtag #TriStateCats. Optimum will be donating $1 for each pic shared on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram (up to $15,000) to help North Shore Animal League America connect homeless cats with their furever families. If you can’t make it to the cafe, that’s OK! Just post a pic of your favorite feline friend and tag it with #TriStateCats to help raise money for the NSALA.
The Optimum Cat Cafe is located at 716 Washington St. in Hoboken, NJ and will be open until Sunday 8/9 (2PM-7PM Fri and 11AM-4PM on the weekend).
