Gramercy Park, a serene space tucked away from the nearby bustle of Union Square and the East Village, is well known for its quiet and exclusivity. The private park is usually only accessible to those Gramercy residents who live directly around the park, but the rigid rules will be suspended on Christmas Eve in the spirit of the holidays when the posh green space is opened to the public for just one hour.

The park is typically only open to those who live in the surrounding homes, and is protected by a locked metal gate. But thanks to the Gramercy Park Block Association and Calvary-St. George’s Church, the exclusive garden will be opened once again this year for one hour on Christmas Eve. The annual event will provide locals and the public a free opportunity to hear holiday carols and to step foot inside the private park.

Gramercy Park will be open to all from 6-7:00 p.m. on December 24th. Don’t miss your once-a-year chance to visit this normally inaccessible green space!
