Interested in checking out some of the city's swankiest new real estate developments? Well, you're in luck because Open House New York and Curbed are partnering for the second year in a row to let visitors take a sneak peek into some of NYC's most coveted private homes and complexes. The tour, Curbed Curates: Residences, is part of Open House New York Weekend taking place on October 15 and 16.
All of the sites on the tour were chosen according to the Curbed mantra, “love where you live.” Participants will be able to walk through ten private residences, including the wooden Clifton Residence in Bedford Stuyvesant, an apartment at 70 Pine, a recently converted Art Deco skyscraper in the Financial District, and the unique living spaces at Urby Staten Island. Designers will also be on hand at select locations to give group tours.
“Private residences are perennial OHNY Weekend favorites – they not only allow us to be voyeurs for the day, but they are also an opportunity to learn about innovative design solutions first-hand,” says Gregory Wessner, OHNY executive director. “We are thrilled to once again partner with Curbed to showcase a range of New Yorkers’ homes.”
Many of the tour destinations listed on OHNY Weekend will be open access, but some will require advanced online reservations.
