If you're looking for a way to savor the last days of summer while also supporting a worthy local cause, mark your calendar for this Friday, the 16th. The New York Harbor Foundation will be pulling out all the stops for its annual New York Harbor Regatta and Beach Bash benefiting the New York Harbor School and the Billion Oyster Project, and you're invited!
The two-part event will begin at 2PM with a spirited sailing competition on the New York Harbor, which can be viewed aboard a spectator cruise hosted by NBC’s Willie Geist complete with cocktails, light bites, networking and fabulous views of the Statue of Liberty. Then the party will continue over at Governors Island, where a beach bash with breathtaking skyline views, an open bar, music, and tasty treats from top New York restaurants like Bagatelle, Betony, Crave Fishbar, Cull & Pistol and Lobster Place, Ed’s Chowder House, and Triomphe awaits.
All proceeds from the Regatta and Bash will go towards supporting the Billion Oyster Project and the New York Harbor School’s continuing efforts to restore and revitalize New York waterways by working towards their goal of seeing one billion oysters thriving in our waters by the year 2030.
Tickets start at $150 for the Spectator Cruise and $125 for the Regatta Bash and can be purchased here.
