Last week, President Barack Obama rolled out a plan to reinvigorate textile manufacturing in America. Part of the new plan is a challenge issued by the Department of Defense worth $150 million, which will be sourced 50/50 from public- and private-sector resources. The goal? To encourage textile designers and manufacturers to develop new methods that will keep the States on the cutting edge of the industry.
