Perelman Performing Arts CenterAfter <a href="http://inhabitat.com/frank-gehry-designed-wtc-performing-arts-center-is-woefully-underfunded-and-in-danger-of-being-scrapped/">years of delays</a>, it looks like the $243 million <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/rex-tapped-to-design-the-world-trade-center-performing-arts-building/">World Trade Center Performing Arts Center</a> might finally come to fruition thanks to a $75 million donation from billionaire Ronald O. Perelman. Renderings of the building, which will be the final piece of the WTC master plan, show a glowing, 90,000-square-foot veined marble cube designed by <a href="http://www.rex-ny.com/">REX Architects</a>. According to officials at the project's presentation, the <a href="http://www.theperelman.org/">Perelman Arts Center </a>will serve as a commemoration of the Sept. 11 tragedy as well as a reflection of NYC's vitality.1
