Robot Missions is on a mission to improve the environment, one bot at a time. The project, which just entered the first phase of Kickstarter crowdfunding, is aiming to clear debris from shorelines using a robot platform. The 3D printed prototype has already successfully collected medium-sized trash from areas of different weather conditions and terrain. Its next mission will be to gather 5kg of debris from Toronto Island. The creators have big plans to replicate the design and develop a guide for others to clean up their own local communities.
