Up until fairly recently, Rocio Romero fans could only visit a fully realized public version of her enormously successful LV prefab in Missouri. Then, last month, a privately-owned and newly completed Rocio Romero LV home was open to the public in the Hudson Valley, NY. When we ran the news of the New York LV open house tour, many of you asked us to keep you posted when Romero’s homes were accessible elsewhere. Well, West Coasters, hang on to your hats because there’s a new LV in town – a Rocio Romero LV is open for tours and much more against the amazing backdrop of Napa County, just a short drive north of San Francisco, and Inhabitat’s hometown in Marin County.

The ‘Napa Prefab’ is open for tours for prefab enthusiasts or prospective prefab homeowners. It’s also available as a private vacation rental, or for commercial photo, movie, and production shoots. Guided tours include a Q&A with the homeowners/builders who, although not a distributor of the LV, do offer consulting services (complete with a regional wine tasting) to people interested in the prefab construction process.
As a retreat, this LV offers 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 3,000 square feet of modern space to call home for the week or weekend. The structure sits hill-top in Pope Valley on 48 acres with a solar-heated pool and 2,000 square feet of outdoor decks and patios. The views look amazing and, according to the owners, are available from every room in the house.
