The Fagerstrom House is a modern home that bends around a tree that gives its inhabitants some shade, fresh air and leafy views. Its gentle curved form creates an interior spatial flow that would have been broken if the architects had chosen to use a sharp corner. All along its curvy façade, vertical wooden planks have been painted with a deep Falu red that slowly turns into a brighter and wider ochre color that run from the bedroom to the living room. The houses has two floors, and it has a staircase located on the bend. On one edge of the house, the naturally lighted living room overlooks the garden and tree, which is best appreciated from the first floor balcony.
