Kälin, Paeper and Wittmann completed “Wrapped” as a graduation project while studying at Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg. The imaginative film utilizes a blend of CG and timelapse photography to achieve its breathtaking graphics.
“The short explores the effects of time and change focusing on the the world’s seemingly never ending cycles,” said Kälin, Paeper and Wittmann. “The deterioration of one is the foundation for another. This fact takes on new dimensions when the unexpected forces of nature clash with the existing structures of our civilization.”
“Wrapped” has been screened at over 100 festivals world-wide and is the recipient of a plethora of awards spanning from Best Experimental Film at the LA Shorts Fest to Best Young Production at Animago to Outstanding Technical Achievement at the Festival of Beijing.
