- Joben BistroThe fantastical <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Joben-Bistro/233187926858052" target="_blank">Joben Bistro</a> in Cluj-Napoca, Romania is a <a href="http://inhabitat.com/steampunk-rotary-cellphone-makes-technology-tactile-again/">steam punk’s dream</a>, with an all encompassing tableau of upcycled objects. Designed by 6th Sense, the interior brings together elements like disused mechanisms, copper piping, <a href="http://inhabitat.com/scrap-metal-and-old-timber-team-up-for-a-stylish-modern-coffee-table/">reclaimed wood</a> and old gears to create an aesthetic right out of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. The scene is centered around a vintage zeppelin that casts an eerie glow on the crowd with warm LED lights. More details after the jump.1
- Joben BistroThe interior of Joben Bistro transports visitors back in time to a mythical era, combining retro-futurism with Victorian aesthetics.2
- Joben BistroTo complete the look, 6th Sense gave new use to many of the design elements. Old top hats were transformed into quirky lampshades while vintage taxidermy animals don monocles.3
- Joben BistroPolished copper piping usually found behind walls was brought into the open, its shiny quality used as a decorative element. The same treatment was given to mechanical gears and pulleys, which adorn the room like art work amidst the vintage framed posters.4
- Joben BistroMany of the tables in the bar are made from distressed, reclaimed wood, adding to the aged aesthetic. Outdated television consoles are used to store liquor bottles, while vintage objects line the walls and shelves throughout the space.5
- Joben BistroThe <a href="http://inhabitat.com/salvador-dalis-surrealist-elephant-comes-to-life-as-a-steampunk-lego-brick-creation/">steam punk aesthetic</a> is held together with an oversized zeppelin, which was repurposed into a lamp by adding a series of LED lights.6
