Surface to Structure: Folded Forms will display a series of intricate paper artwork created entirely through folding. The works will include simple and complex pieces as well as multiple origami styles from the present and the past. Featuring paper animals, geometric forms and sculptural pieces, the exhibit will highlight creations from both masters and up-and-coming artists from all over the world.

Akira Yoshizawa, Robert Harbin, Tran Trung Hieu and Evan Zodl are some of the origami artists who will be featured at the show. “Surface to Structure: Folded Forms” will take place this summer at Cooper Union in New York from June 19th to July 4th and will occupy the same space as the 1959 classic origami exhibition Plane Geometry and Fancy Figures.
