The paper used by Joel Cooper is hand-painted, stained or dyed and treated to ensure the resulting art is durable enough to display. Because he doesn’t use any glue or cut the paper at all, Cooper’s paper origami skills are a bit like magic. But unlike a magician he doesn’t keep his secret artform to himself – he even recently shared a ‘swirly star’ tutorial on his flickr site.
Cooper’s work is available to buy on his Etsy page, and prices range from $50 to $300.
