Meassuring 27 x 27 x 40 inches, the idea for the Bamboo Chair came about after some experimenting with bending techniques. Veenhuizen told Inhabitat they first tested out the material by bending and braiding bamboo boards. By pushing the material to its limits, they came up with this wonderful nest-like design.

The Dutch duo are producing these sustainable bamboo seatsin limited edition quantities, and they can be ordered by contacting them at their Utrech workshop or via their webpage.
