The DROP Eco-Hotel is a Portable Prefab Pod Home for the Modern Nomad

The <a href="http://www.in-tenta.com/index.php/works/latest-works/item/105-drop-eco-hotel">DROP Eco-Hotel</a> is an ultra-mobile prefab dwelling developed by <a href="http://www.in-tenta.com/">In-Tenta</a> for a contest organized by <a href="http://www.urbansquare.es/">Urban Square</a>, <a href="http://www.o-cults.com/">O-Cults</a>, and <a href="http://www.ricardobofill.com/">Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura</a>. The mobile hotel room draws inspiration from organic shapes found in nature, and it can be installed on a variety of terrains. The <a href="http://www.in-tenta.com/index.php/works/latest-works/item/105-drop-eco-hotel">DROP Eco-Hotel</a> is designed to be elevated above the earth (so it leaves a light footprint), and it features spherical transparent windows that can be completely opened to bring guests into direct contact with nature.

<a href="http://www.in-tenta.com/">In-Tenta</a> designed the <a href="http://www.in-tenta.com/index.php/works/latest-works/item/105-drop-eco-hotel">DROP Eco-Hotel</a> to provide a mobile dwelling for modern nomads.

The prefabricated structure consists of a central tube capped on either end by big fully operable bubble windows that provide <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/natural-ventillation/">natural ventilation</a>.

The pod hotel is wrapped with a slotted wood facade that helps to mitigate heat.

A rainwater recycling system harvests H2O for use within the building, further reducing its environmental impact.

A skylight running the entire length of the home provides ample daylighting.

An optional deck provides additional room for outdoor lounging and al fresco dining.

The drop hotel features space for a living room that is partitioned from the bedroom by a divider.

The central interior corridor of the DROP Hotel features space for a bedroom and lounge area, while the bathroom and utilities are located in separate rooms set along the building's sides.

The pod hotel's base is elevated above the earth to minimize its impact upon its site.
