Responsible boaters have always been aware that the key to preserving their water-based environment is to enjoy the moment while keeping their presence (and their exhaust) to a minimum. Don’t disturb the habitat, keep the waters cleanand unpolluted–these are the rules of green boating. Much like electric cars, electric boats are a long-awaited solution toeco-friendly boating practices, but up until now they’ve been limited by speed and agility. It seems that this is no longer the case: German shipwrights Rivers and Tides are completing their brand new NOX SV electric speedboat. Made of teak and mahogany, it boasts a 225-hp electric motor and promises a speed of up to 120 km/h. Check out the Rivers and Tides website for more information about this limited series, as only five are being created, and they’re going to go fast.
