The front of the restaurant is decked out in local, restored mahogany [2] and metal planters adorn the outside with an integrated menu design and the bar area includes original brickwork and a custom salvaged wood shelving unit. The bar itself is a combination of butcher block and limestone, with reclaimed wood edging.
The main dining area is actually hidden behind the bar. Affectionately called “The Grange,” [3]the room is similar to an open barn, completely clad in reclaimed wood from ceiling to floor. Antique mirrors and custom lighting give the room a warm, subtle glow at night while the wall of windows naturally brightens the space during the day.
The Goodwin is located on Hudson Street [4]and is open every day but Sunday.
