Times Squared 3015 skyscraper concept stacks a beach, a farm and a forest into one soaring tower

The 3050 Time Squared design breaks the boundaries of traditional skyscrapers and stacks green spaces into the city fabric. Located in the heart of the city that never sleeps, this innovative 3-dimensional tower sores a mile above Time Square. Designers Blake Freitas, Grace Chen, and Alexi Kararavokiris address the spatial, environmental, and experimental possibilities of vertical living, in our dense and over populated city.

The lively and self-sustaining city complex support the health and well-being of its residents and visitors. The vertical farms provide oxygen and sustenance to the community. City residents can hike on the mountain range or relax in a lush forest. An innovative and unique experience, the 3-dimensional tower takes the concept of "Manhattanization" and sustainable vertical living to the next level.

On the south-facing side of the module, the void is carved out for maximum solar exposure. As a result, a series of L-shaped ‘living’ clusters surround and integrate with the natural environment, creating a distinct city fabric. People will use a series of secondary elevators and stairs to journey vertically within each module. The vitality and energy from Time Square extend vertically throughout the tower, with a series of “sky malls” or retail-themed entertainment zones above and below the residential/destination modules. The tower is capped with an observation deck, providing astonishing views of the city within a city.

The main core of the tower is a vertical subway, an elevator system which stops at the twelve major modules. Similar to having different districts within a city, this vertical tower has individualized blocks or modules of each of the destination zones. The destination zones include a farm, beach, mountain range, forest, stadium, housing, and offices.
