The harmful effects of chemical bisphenol A (BPA) are becoming common public knowledge, but despite the adverse health risks that it presents – from hindering neurological development, to DNA damage, to even low sperm count in men – the chemical remains prevalent in consumer products, particularly baby bottles and sipping cups whose users are especially vulnerable to BPA. Sadly, despite more than 200 studies that clearly report that BPA is bad for humans, this week, the US government sided with the chemical industry and squashed any attempt to place a ban on BPA.
