WindyLight is a unique wind-operated, outdoor lighting system that has been designed to let soft gusts of wind illuminate our world. Every WindyLight is made from a series of WindyWheels, which are pinwheel-like modules able to collect wind energy and transform it into an electrical current that can power integrated LEDs. The WindyLight is currently in its second stage of the R&D process, and revenues from the first set of prototypes produced will be re-invested to develop a WindyLight module designed specifically for communities that are not connected to the grid. If you love this beautiful, low-energy and sustainable idea, make a contribution supporting it via Kickstarter. The designers are also throwing in a slew of cool thank you gifts for your donation!
