Sweet As One was curated by Hong Kong creative studio AllRightsReserved and its graphic pattern was created by graphic design duo Craig & Karl. The massive candy carpet stretches 607 feet long by 23 feet wide. Over 2,000 volunteers meticulously assembled the entire piece by hand over just five days.

In contrast to the high-end fashion labels that make up the IFC shopfronts, the Sweet As One installation is playful and childlike in color and form. The fun, abstract pattern includes pandas, flower, and swirly shapes; from above, the final product looks so perfectly put together it looks like CGI.

Sweet As One was also conceived as an opportunity to raise awareness for underprivileged children in rural China. Organizer and sponsor Chengdu IFS plans to donate lunches and some of the candy from the temporary carpet installation to the children.
