Wearing fabric made from cow manure may sound like a terrible, smelly idea, but Eindhoven-based designer Jalila Essaïdi is out to prove that manure-made fabric could be the next great bio-textile. The eco-friendly fabric, called Mestic, harnesses the power of cow poo and helps divert its streams from polluting the environment. Essaïdi will soon show off her Mestic-derived fabric creations at an upcoming fashion show created in partnership with the municipality of Eindhoven.
