Called blob vB3, the unit has a timber frame covered in a stretchy material and polyester. We’re not so certain how planet-loving polyester is, but the PUR insulation used in between the inner and outer shell certainly adds sustainability to the mix.
A fabulous example of minimalist, space-saving design, blob vB3 features all the ameneties the modern nomad needs: a kitchen, bathroom, guestroom, sleeping space, and loads of storage. And it is lit up with LED lights giving the versatile caravan something of a yolky nightime glow.

Believe it or not, this adorable egg-shaped “blob” is actually a house! Originally built as a home office extension for Xfactor Agencies, the unique design was vehemently opposed by Belgian authorities. In order to circumvent building codes, the Belgium-based architects dmvA created a mobile unit that doubles as art. It is also a sustainable home extension given its small size, minimal use of building materials, mobility, and clever use of space.

The Belgian authorities weren’t wild about this egg-shaped office design and refused to give it a permit.
[3]
To circumvent their code, dmvA turned the office into something both creative and mobile.

Mobile and sleek, the interior is no cave either.
[6]
It has a bathroom, kitchen, guestroom, sleeping area, and plenty of storage place.

Like a caravan, it can be used as a home, an office, or even as a garden shed.

Despite being unconventional by Belgium’s standards, we love this design!
