Robots>>>> is a London-based [8] art collective that builds large-scale sculpture from recycled and repurposed scrap. Designers, artists, engineers and art directors collaborate to create dramatic sculptures for both private clients and public organizations around the globe. Working on the premise that “one man’s rubbish is another man’s gold”, Robots>>>> creates amazing creatures [9] influenced by nature, science and comics.
The giant sculptures scaling the Southbank are crafted from recycled wood [10] and reclaimed steel. They were created with the help of kids at the Oasis Children’s Venture [11], a safe play space for young people in London’s borough of Lambeth. But these wooden men are not just decoration, they encourage people to look up and see the sky.
