Located on the corner of 40th Street and Sixth Avenue the project is slated to be completed by the end of 2014. The project’s mission is to create a building that can offer small and modest-sized companies big business infrastructure.
The building will also boast 28-stories of spectacular views of Bryant Park, ample lighting and easy-to-access trips to Times Square and Grand Central Station. The structure’s glass will consist of low-iron insulating glass [2] that will increase thermal performance while maximizing transparency and visible light transmittance.
Also included in the plans for the new iconic Manhattan project will be two outdoor terraces and a green roof [3]. The project, which brought on Viridian Energy & Environmental [4] as sustainable design consultants, utilizes energy-saving mechanical systems and co-generation and is designed to achieve LEED Gold certification.
