Gallery: 13 Year Old Spider Boy Scales Walls Using Recycled Vacuums


Hibiki Kono had a dream — he wanted to be like his hero, Spiderman. Most little kids would have their parents buy them a costume that they could wear to school. Not Kono — the 13 year-old set to work making his dream a reality. He’s used two 1,400-watt recycled vacuum cleaners and a little bit of elbow grease to make a machine that allows him to scale walls — just like his spindly hero!

    Such negativity. Typical ‘net comments. I am disappointed. How about just giving kudos to the kid for thinking and creating (even if it was from a previous invention)instead of sitting in front of a TV?

    My comment to him would be. “Great job! Now what’s next?”

    Impractical. No-one would trust ONLY this, so you have to have a security line. If you have a line, why use suction at all?

    He told its he saw the design on gadget show . This was not his idea or invention, his dad made it from plans draw up by the boys over on the BBC … check it out
