7 Tiny Tumbleweed HomesHave we told you lately how much we lurve Tumbleweed's tiny homes? In case you haven't had a chance to check them out, here are 7 of the latest in their growing line of awesome and small buildings that have a negligible footprint. Each lilliputian house has its own special character but they can all be custom designed with add-ons to suit your needs. And if you aren't a fan of red tape, this news will definitely get your attention: all of the structures featured here are smaller than 120 square feet, dodging the permitting requirements of most municipalities. Step in for a closer look at these seven wonderful, affordable mini-houses.1
7 Tiny Tumbleweed HomesThe Anderjack home has 2 columns flanking either end of its entrance that are supported with a nice-sized purlin, eave and window trim. The kit costs $12,999 and assembled it costs $14,999. The price includes concrete footings, but this can be changed depending on how much you don't love concrete!2
7 Tiny Tumbleweed HomesThe beautiful Beavan home costs the same as the Anderjack and also has columns on either side of the entrance. The exterior is 7 x 16 feet, not including the porch which adds an addition 2 feet. The interior can be managed however you like, but Tumbleweed recommends using their mini homes as a backyard bedroom, office, yoga retreat, or office studio.3
7 Tiny Tumbleweed HomesThe Gifford home has massive purlins that support a front gable and porch. The kit costs $11,999 and the base and assembly pushes the price to $13,999. Given that it's under 120 square feet, it's unlikely your municipality will require you to purchase a permit to install it, but it's a good idea to check first!4
7 Tiny Tumbleweed HomesThe stamper home is a little larger at 107 square feet and features a alcove in the main room and 3 windows. Additional windows can be added for a sum, and the house costs $16, 599 assembled.5
7 Tiny Tumbleweed HomesThe Weller home featured in Colorado has a distinctive gable offset over the front door which also generates a little extra loft space. It comes with an insulated fir floor and knotty pine tounge and interior grove siding can be added for $1,599.6
7 Tiny Tumbleweed HomesThe Zinn house featured here with a pile of roses in the front yard is in some ways the most quaint of them all - probably because of its endearing paint job. This house has an end gable design and a front door on its long side. It also comes with two windows and massive purlins supported by an awning and broad eves. The Zinn costs $13,999 with foundations and assembly.7
7 Tiny Tumbleweed HomesWe left the best for last! The Walden is a little different than the rest of Tumbleweed's tiny houses. Set on a 7 x 18 utility trailer, it comes ready made at $49,997 or you can put it together yourself for $21, 250. Unlike many of the homes, it has vaulted ceilings, a full shower and a large kitchen. It also comes with a fireplace! Go to Tumbleweed's website to learn more - and start dreaming about putting together your very own tiny home.8
