Using recycled Corian samples from kitchen designers and sustainably sourced birch, Oxfordshire-based designer Jay Watson built this beautiful credenza. Corian is a popular material for kitchen countertops. Watson collected the Corian samples from kitchen designers and Corian® fabricators, proving that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. The colorful tiles create a pixelated pattern on the credenza, which features three drawers and a cupboard.

Dupont — the company that makes Corian — has achieved zero landfill status by reusing and recycling materials during production in a number of innovative ways, making Corian a more environmentally friendly surface solution. DuPont avoids sending waste to the landfill during production by reusing Corian byproducts as a filler replacement in concrete, for example. These production methods, along with its durable characteristics and long lifespan, make Corian a great, environmentally-friendly surface.
